GTS TRAINING METHOD

Certified Speed and Performance coach Bill McCoy started Game Time Speed with one thought in mind:  to help athletes improve their speed and athletic development.  After coaching youth sports in the Providence Rhode Island area over the years coach Bill realized that certain fundamental techniques were not being addressed.

All sports are based on the athlete's ability to perform skills that apply to their sport.  Ahtlete's must experience how their bodies should react executing moves during competition.  If they don"t their already at a disadvantage.

For example:  A baseball player may be trained in the basics of fielding a ground ball, a football player may have hands of gold, a basketball may have a great jump shot and so on, but if their too slow, too uncoordinated, too inflexible, too weak, or too out of shape, what good do all those skills do?  If the baseball player can't move to the ball from all directions or lacks the ability to successfully get to first base, if the football player can't get open to catch the ball, and the basketball player can't get open to get a shot off, or stop anybody on defense.  At GTS we train athletes to be more athletic, when your more athletic your better at everything they do.

The GTS training method prepares athletes for any athletic situation.  As athlete's mature both physically and mentally during GTS training, they will gain confidence in their abilities and become a better prepared athlete.

The GTS training method rarely concentrates on sport-specific training because if the athlete lacks confidence, struggles with speed, agility, strength, balance, coordination and stamina, no amount of soprt-specific training will improve their athletic performance.
