Bill's athletic career started at Central High School in Providence, RI where his career consisted of playing football and running Track and field. He was one of the most accomplished track and field athletes to come out of Providence Rhode Island competing in the 45 meters, 60 meters, 100, 200, 300, 400 meters, 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay. After High School, Bill attended Northeastern University where he competed in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay. Bill went on to receive his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.

Bill is also a member of the coaching staff of the 19 Time State Champs, Mt. Hope Cowboys Pre Teen Football Team from Providence, Rhode Island. The Mt. Hope Cowboys have won several of those titles since 2001, including the 2004, 2005, 2006 State Championships, and the 2007, 2008 State and New England Championships.
The Mt. Hope Cowboys also competed at the 2007 & 2008 Pop Warner Super Bowl Championships held at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL.
Coach Bill has also coached his basketball teams to 7 titles.
